Barktoberfest FAQ’s

This is a free event to attend. The only cost is to enter your pet into the costumer contest or the dachshund dash. Pre-registration is open until September 28th for only $5.00 Registration will also be available day of the event for $10.00 Please visit for more information about the event and how to register your pet early to be entered into a special raffle.
No. Registration is available online or in person at Perrin-410 Animal Hospital
We prefer cash but will be able to accept credit cards.
All times are approximate. The Dachshund Dash will close registration check in at 12:30pm and begin races at 1:00pm. The Costume Contest will close registration check in at 1:30pm and start the contest at 2:30pm.
Yes, unless the weather becomes unsafe to both pets and people.
Simply print your registration confirmation page and bring it along with proof of your pet's current rabies vaccination to the check in tent.
The event starts at 12:00pm.
The event is over at 4:00pm.
There will be a variety of food sold by local food trucks.
There will be a beer garden in the dog agility park. No outside alcohol is allowed.
A variety of local pet and people vendors will be at the event.

The only prohibited items are: weapons, outside alcohol and food/drink (exception: water).
There will be a tables and chairs located near the food trucks and seating throughout the park but is considered first come, first served. We encourage you to bring lawn chairs or blankets for additional seating.
The Animal Defense League will have parking available in the grassy field behind their hospital, off Iota drive. The front parking lot by the adoption center will be closed to guests.
YES! Well behaved, on leash, or held pets are always welcome.

1. Pets must always be on leash or held, unless in the enclosed dog park. 2. Pets must be up to date on their vaccinations. 3. The safety of all pets at the event is the responsibility of the owner. 4. Owners are expected to clean up after their pets. Bags will be available to use at all stations. 5. No aggressive pets or pets in heat, please. 6. Pet owners will be responsible for any damage or harm caused by their own actions or the actions of their pet to property, people, or other animals.
